When I was capturing this, I was surrounded by workers asking if I had a nice view. Then they began a discussion on blocking the last observable opening of the site

Sounds like someone was nervous about liability issues.

By filming the work, you were essentially doing a site inspection recording for the stakeholders.

Call me Icarus...That was always in the back of my mind. Cutting corners in construction I don't believe it's an issue or problem in Canada but I understand their concerns.

mcminsen good angle on those pics. I'm hesitant to take pictures from there, only because it's on private property. I see the excavators are ready for egress. I'm too busy with work at this time to capture the heavy lift...Again

Those four things in the corners sitting on top of the column of rebar looks like what the crane gets bolted into.

Then the tower's Mat/Foundation will come up to that level. I don't see the crane sitting on a pedestal like that.

It's a top heavy design, maybe the tower need a huge chunk of concrete in the foundation as a counterweight?
