Might be topped off - or might be one more mechanical level.
Hard to tell.

This project just is so nice and it! I can say enough about how well it has turned out. Thank goodness this was proposed and built in Burnaby can't say if this was proposed in Vancouver that it would have turned out as nice!

This comment makes no sense. The towers would be considered fugly no matter where they were built. The office part is decent but on some other level beyond what is built in Vancouver.

Your comment is the one that doesn't make any sense. If you follow what is being approved and built in Vancouver, then you should also know the following:

Of course these towers would be uglier in Vancouver. First of all, if built, those in Vancouver would likely be short and devoid of roof-top features due to various height restrictions. Furthermore, office and retail components would likely be disallowed as they would disturb the peace of the nearby Nimbys (most of them crazy old ladies surrounded by felines), not to mention all the shadowing restrictions. The podium size would scare the heck out of the shells of the City council since it is not "human scale", leading to a smallish single-storey podium with heights fit for hobbits built, and broken up into a mess. Last but not least, the buildings must look darker than black after the sun sets, and thus any of the LED light features would be summarily removed. In the end, just like Galaxy stated, it would be nothing but a plain bore.

I think the condo towers look good.
The punched windows and surrounding concrete wall provide more defining elements than spandrel glass would provide. As a result, there isn't much spandrel glass used, and where it is used, it's highlighted to add colour to the facades.
The window glass is practically floor to ceiling, too, so that improves the look over your typical project.
The massing isn't crazy with odd angles or protruding boxes, but more of a traditional stepped form with some curved corners.

Delusion upon delusion. Certainly no office or retail in Vancouver, only single-story podiums, and obviously nothing built over 26-36 floors...

Literally open your eyes and look at any other thread in this forum to have your bias confronted with reality, but we all know that’s never going to happen.

Yup delusion upon delusion is right. Question is, who has it?

Office rents are skyrocketing in downtown Vancouver due to supply shortage

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/down...cbre-june-2019

Office construction pace is suddenly at a frenzy for downtown Vancouver at the moment, but a little too late.
As for retail, even Calgary and Ottawa's downtown shopping malls are bigger than Vancouver's Pacific Centre mall.
https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/down...on-report-2019

Talk about being confronted with reality. Your eyes may be open but they are glazed over.

Your choice of link is confusing - what does it have to do with King's Crossing? How much space is being built in the City of Vancouver to meet the increased demand that's causing rents to go up, and how much is under construction in Burnaby?

Not confusing at all. Just wanting to point to the fact that Burnaby does not even need to build office spaces if businesses can be located in Vancouver. King's Crossing isn't even in Burnaby's major town centre, and they still provide office spaces.

Anyway, I was just replying to Dreambrothers. Fact remains that insufficient commercial spaces are built in Vancouver. If you still can't see the connection, then please I implore you: disregard this and move on.

Got it. You were just trolling this thread with one of your pet obsessions.
