Got it. So potentially there could be movement already IF the zoning allows it and no variance is required etc...

I'm hearing a major project was/is supposed to be announced today. One of the ones I had mentioned in the past as being significant and somewhat out of left field for most. A couple of people on here likely know about it....create more density, another office building, decent height....

If it's being announced today or already then just tell us and stop with the never ending torture.

Quite a bit of office space is being created downtown. Seems strange since we've heard a lot on here about the office space market being saturated. Not that I care, bring on the cranes!!!

Considering that some were suggesting TNS was the last new office building we'd see going up downtown for a long time, there is the potential for a lot of activity... Skip the Dishes alone could be massive, then you add this rumored new project to the pile, it certainly speaks to there being some level of demand.

That's not to say the city is booming, just that there may be need for particular types of buildings that don't exist, like one capable of holding thousands of employees in the case of Skip the Dishes. It will be interesting to see which niche this other new building is going to fill.

Any idea where to look to find the announcement? Or will it be fairly public and obvious?

In the past, the media has gotten right on these types of announcements. Check the local news media twitter feeds around 10 am.

If it's one storey I will be a little let down, but I would not have been misled. Thanks for you imprecise honesty.

Haha, that would be a downer. One storey regional office for Mary Brown's Chicken, with convenient 12 car parking lot!
