I've lived downtown for so long that vistas like that don't impress me any more. You get used to it. I do get impressed when entering downtown from the Gardiner or DVP though.

And yet there is still room in that shot for Victoria sur le Parc (200 m.), National Bank (200 m.), Maestria (198 + 187 m.), 1 Phillip Square (197 m.), Humaniti (120 m.), 628 St-Jacques (120 m.) and more. In 3 years it will be packed.

I haven't been downtown in a few months, and the last time I took a detour onto the Gardiner for some skyline views was a few years ago, but for my money the most eye-popping skyscraper viewing zone in Toronto is driving westbound on the Gardiner from the DVP. That might have changed in the intervening years, with the addition/bulking-up of several new nodes to the west and north.

When you transition from the DVP to the Gardiner it's a little odd. There's no skyline, you round the bend, then there it is.
