I've actually been wondering about Austin's nodes (for lack of a better term) for awhile now. On business trips lately I've been noting the "downtowns" that crop up in the suburban periphery of Chicago and DC -- like Rosemont, Schaumburg, or Oak Brook in CHI, or Reston, McLean, Arlington, or Gaithersburg in DC. If we're going to hit a metro pop of 4M by 2040, we'll definitely need another Domain or two. Where are those?
Robinson Ranch is certainly one for the distant future, but I don't really think I see Round Rock going vertical. Where else?

For whatever IA is worth, the other "regional centers", besides North Burnet Gateway (not Domain), Downtown, and Robinson are
SCW (which really is just part of downtown)
Highland (not just the mall, but including the larger overall region including across 290 and I35)

All of those (except SCW) have the advantage of being on the Red Line (including potential Robinson).
