Does anyone know what the newly framed building across from the Costco gas bar is?

Was wondering the same thing.

The Shoppes at Galway still has the original outdated store map schematic on their website and no new information regarding upcoming tenants. Not much either on Plaza.ca website. You would think they would be promoting the hell out of this especially since they have some almost finished buildings there and framing up for others. Why do they keep it secret?

Is this building of significant size or is it a building that will house multiple units? Does anyone know? I haven't heard a peep about this place other than Costco and the few other retailers that have been mentioned here.

The building looks to be a single unit. It's too big to be a fast food restaurant but around the size of a full service dine-in restaurant.

The building up by costco is a Starbucks.

hmmm... Perhaps. However, Starbucks buildings usually have a smaller footprint. From what wmemeadusjr mentioned it seems it may be too big for a Starbucks. BTW, I believe it's been mentioned in another thread but the Starbucks in Paradise opened last week.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticed Mr X. post - if that's the same building we're discussing here.

It's possible my description of location got lost in text message translation, but from what a buddy of mine tells me (who is with the company building it) it's a Starbucks.

Well, it sounds like you have a pretty solid source.

Based on my count, that'll make 9 Starbucks in metro. No more than 10 years ago the only Starbucks in St. John's (or NL for that matter) was at Chapters. That's pretty decent growth...

The building reminds me of the Starbucks/Pita Pit Building on Hebron Way. Maybe it's Starbucks and something else. Nothing new and unique I'm sure.

Costco gas pumps to open in Galway next weekend. Over 700 new products will be introduced in the new location. Unfortunately, one if them will not be liquor. I've heard their wines are quite good.

Unless Costco enters an agreement with NLC (which I don't foresee happening since NLC will have control on pricing, etc.) you won't see any Costco alcohol offerings in this province. That's unfortunate because I too heard their wine and spirit offerings are quite good.

Just search for Costco Wholesale Canada
there's two videos, but really don't say/show much -pallets of orange jackets in one clip, not much else.

Someone asked the same question on the fb opening event page and Costco responded that a self serve kiosk will be available and wings will be added to the menu.

Not really sure but in larger markets Costco has separate stores geared just to business services.
