It’s almost as if our great legacy of a unique moniker for our city’s core is being eroded, purposefully, in favor of a moniker that is overused and tired.
I blame most of it on the media conglomerate inquirer/philly.com/foobooz, etc.
They still to this day use the term ‘Midtown Village’ instead of the Gayborhood because I guess that decision was made one day and they are sticking to it like some soviet comrades that were told so. And they can’t reverse now because of sheer embarrassment that they are wrong.
