Should have put red roof also. House is very nice compared to houses next to it.

Suggestion:
Shall we start a "Rivers District Re-development" thread?

It could be a one-stop shop for the BMO expansion, pedestrian reconfiguration, transit design discussions specific to the Rivers District, new hotel, Big4 evolution, entire revitilization of 17th from MacLeod till Olympic Way up to 10th avenue, possible discussions of public realm around the possible new arena, etc.

It would not eliminate the arena specific discussion in the arena thread, nor would it completely extract the Stampede LRT station (or the new station on the green line) from the transit thread, but currently we are missing a pace for this important 20 year project where the different silos interact - the BMO design, Big4 plans, arena work, at least one major hotel, restaurants, other stampede plans all impact pedestrian, transit, road, built structures, overall critical mass for an entertainment area, etc.

I've refrained from starting the thread myself because I think there are people with biases against me and will not support it just because I start it and for no other reason. So trying to see if there is broader interest first.

Cumulatively, this is probably a $2B+ revitalization. It should become a new focus area given east village is coming close to full realization.

Does anyone know what's under construction just north of the calf robe bridge? There has been a lot of construction action there for the past year or so.

I think the place is going to be stunning. Also looking at it again a little more closely, I think suburbia has a point about how close the house is to the neighbouring house. Even with the scaffolding gone is going to be quite tight against the neighbouring house. Too bad they couldn’t have a loud even an extra couple of feet.

My vote is "no" and it has nothing to do with you posting the suggestion. I find with too many threads we end up with a lot of repeat posts which are just a waste of time to wade through. Now that BMO is under construction talk about it fits here nicely. If people want to talk about the other projects you list is there not already a thread to discuss future developments? Let others weigh in--whatever the consensus is I'm fine with.

It isn't just you. I've had to fish out my 2017 post detailing the specifics of the BMO expansion a couple times after people can't remember what I wrote, and question that I had brought out many of the key elements back then.

In the same token, yesterday I posted in the transit section about the stampede station, but the points I was making impacted not only transit, but roads, the new BMO expansion, and specific development on Olympic Way also (as the likely new location for the red mile). If we had a district revitalization thread, I wouldn't need to re-post those types of things.

Okay. I'll change my vote to "yes" so we can discuss all of the development planned for the area and their impacts on traffic, etc. in one thread.

That house is awfully close to the next house now that I look at it some more. Especially in that second picture it looks like it's attached directly to it.
