The Glebe is well organized and has $ so has been able to prevent the majority of bad gentrification (aside from traffic and fast food) - Hintonburg isn't faring so well - that is what I meant

Ah, true. Though Hintonburg certainly has more money than it did a decade ago. It also has good transit links. I give it a fighting chance.

I really like Hintonburg. I actually prefer it over Westboro, despite the fact that I live in Westboro.

Looks like there will be a new 14-storey building for 90 Champagne, designed by our favourite architect, Roderick Lahey.

Yes, I live in the first building (phase 1), so glad I bought a North facing unit overlooking downtown - knowing full well something was going to be build behind.

I wonder if these will be condos too or apartments.

Here's a general question, if anyone can provide the answer:

What determines if a proposal gets reviewed by the Urban Design Review Committee in Ottawa? Do all proposals go through this process, or just some?

Thanks all!

Does anybody have an idea of what's going to happen to the Old nestle factory behind the the soon-to-be old Canadian tire on carling/clyde. Seems like lots of space is going to be available there for development?

The large For Sale sign still faces the Queensway.
