All in all, the commissioners were pleased with the design. There wasn't a single mention about the crown other than there will be some sort of lighting component. I was hoping they would argue it was too similar to 621 capitol.
The obvious question was the timeline. The architect said the building could be up-and-running in 3-5 years depending on how quickly they have the permits, leasing, and other factors. Unclear when construction would start.
The one quibble was about the parking structure and the amount of spaces dedicated to vehicles. Some commissioners pointed out about possibly reducing the amount and reconfigure it to residential units or other uses down the line. The parking garage will be open to the public on event nights at G1C.
An EIR is in the works. They plan on returning to the Commission either late this year or sometime next year for public hearing.
