Paragon (1326 S michigan) is 50 feet shorter than what is listed. I should have flipped around what I was saying was half wrong. Half are completed and 3 are wrong on height

They are installing a very significant secant wall - there will be basement. Also CASE doesn't dig, they drill and fill, the next crew will dig.

in chicago, you drill the caissons first, on nice flat level ground, and you excavate after the caissons are in.

this project will have a significant amount of under ground parking.

Ahhh ok, do you know what the ratio is above ground vs underground?

Unless I'm mistaken it seems from the render that there is a mostly hidden above ground garage.

I don't know the exact ratio, but I think the plans call for ~900 total parking spaces, with 3 levels below grade and 4 above grade, but because the above grade parking levels in the podium will be wrapped with active uses facing the street to hide the parking levels, the ratio underground to above ground is probably around to 1-1.

^ Considering the sheer amount of retail and office space that will be in the podium, I’m guessing probably much more of the parking will be below grade than above
