Time check 3:58pm or 1658 PDT - Eastern Std would be 5:58 or 1758 EST. I believe this site is set to GMT

Months ago, I did mention my wish was a Harrod's and as expected, got summarily shot down.
Simons isn't really a department store though, its a clothing store, It lacks a lot of departments to be considered a department store.

nice

You get a cool view if you are in olympic village and look east along the green median, but a phone camera just doesn't get the right picture.

Ya it really doesn't do it justice. That was a camera phone too so you can imagine it looks much bigger and more imposing in person.

Checking out how the glass exchange is going?

Fore the sake of an amazing skyline I hope that the sidemost towers will be shorter than the first three. Otherwise it's going to be a pretty boring megablock.

It still puzzles me how there will be drivable streets inside this complex vs. making it 100% car-free.

I could be wrong but I think the crane in your pictures is for tower 3 Tower 2's crane is already gone I think! I am basing this off of other pictures earlier in the thread.

Galaxy is correct.

That crane you see in all those images is Tower 3's crane.

Tower 2's crane was on the other side of the tower (opposite from the Highway/Skytrain side) on it's north side, and was already taken down a while ago.
You can see that from earlier images in this thread.

Lexus newest photo does show that the crane for tower two is still up. Its just hidden behind the work being done on tower 3. Thank you for the pics, Lexus!

It is.

From Wiki:
In 1870, John Simons moved his shop to 20 Côte de la Fabrique, where it remains today. Business increased following the move, and in 1952 the post-World War II boom brought new market opportunities. This is when Gordon Donald Simons [fr] entered the company and led the store into a new era, transforming it into a department store where it became leader in popular fashion with the introduction of youth-centred and fashion forward brands such as Twik, which was based on Twiggy, a cultural icon of the time.[1]

I know, and I did say it's a "wish". And I also love nice surprises.

Is there enough space in the first phase anchor tenant spot to accomodate Simons? It's a little hard to tell from the leasing plans currently posted, but I think there's 45k feet in the first basement level and at least 50k feet on the ground level directly above it.
