WeWork will be opening a new location at Station Square redevelopment at 6060 Silver Avenue, occupying two floors and entail 1,200 desks.

I was trying to go to the new Earls on Friday but they only opened on Saturday. I hope the new restaurant is not as noisy as all Earls tend to be. Looks nice.

When both Earl's and Cactus eventually are fully opened up (hopefully in time for the summer), it's really going to up the "buzz" factor for that Station Square area and restaurant row.

Going to Earls is like going to a nightclub almost. Young, pretty girls, house music pumpin’. It’s not for everyone.

It's not the worst thing that could happen to an area like Metrotown that otherwise completely lacks any semblance of a nightlife or anything to keep young people around.

The old Station Square used to have a few pubs and/or nightclub(s) where people could hang out.

Maybe this might help bring some of that back?

Both places seem to be always packed, so I am surprised they are closing their existing locations, especially Earls. Both Metrotown and Brentwood can certainly sustain two locations each, and Metrotown is still missing a Joey's and The Keg.

The previous Earls was outdated and not part of their current image, they wanted a new restaurant that reflected their current style. And the old Kingsway location was really close to Station Square, it wouldn't make sense.

I am sure the old Earls spot will be picked up quickly, there are a lot of popular spots along that stretch, never really see any empty spaces.

Drove through tonight, Earls looked quite busy around 10:00 pm

Someone's not convinced because the right "demographics" are being forced out and Metro is left with no one to support the new Earl's and Cactus Club.
