Doesn't bother me - will be the last we see a crane that high in the sky in Calgary for a little bit me thinks.
That crane is really something, partially because of how it is located at the edge of the road thus allowing people to get very close to the base and look up.
Yeah that's a common assessment of the shots from there. This one is better lit and therefore looks less fake, but the tail was blocking Telus. Anyway, I have a smidge more time these days so should be able to get down there to shoot it during the day at some point.
Do you remember at about what time you took the second and fourth photos? Very cool looking sky in those two shots.
2nd shot 2:00 am, 4th shot 2:08 am, 10 second and 25 second exposures respectively, hence the "wispy" bits of cloud in the sky as you see their movement over that duration. The skies are obviously boosted as well, as they're not that blue at 2 am.

Perhaps this question has been asked already but I haven't visited this site for a while. What effect will the Telus Sky lighting show have on the suites in the building if any??? Will they (suites) be experiencing constant secondary flashes at all? The lighting is beautiful!
Lighting appears to stop short of the suites above, at least it looks that way to me assuming the suites start where the balconies start.
That's what I thought at first but if you pause the video at about the 32 second mark it appears they do go to the top. I hope they can add more sequences as desired to keep the "show" fresh.
