PS - the cladding on 402 Dunsmuir looks promising (seafoam colour, but big dark mullions)

They've started erecting the second crane on top. Started going up approx 2pm this afternoon.

Thanks for the heads up. I walked by today around that time on the Homer Street side and didn't see it.

The second crane's lowest section is in but I didn't see any more action today. Perhaps it was too windy? When I was on the QE plaza I had to hold on to my hat.

Construction Updates
April 9, 2019 – For the next two weeks:
Demolition of the floors and openings inside of the existing building is ongoing.
Seventy-two of 120 footings have been replaced to date.
A luffing crane (second of four cranes) adjacent to Hamilton St. will be erected on April 26-28, 2019.
Shoring work for the West Georgia plaza has begun.
The Hamilton Street sidewalk adjacent to the building will be closed starting March 20 for the duration of the project.
The Hamilton Street southbound curb lane will be closed daily from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Saturday).
All activities are executed within the parameters of the City of Vancouver’s building bylaws.

Those are the spandrel panels between floors.
I think there are different ceiling heights in different parts of the building.

ok, I've always seen them just wondered what they were made of, I always thought they were like a tile, but seeing them close up in the pics I realize they weren't

They are tiled, possibly a terra cotta.

They managed to get the mast up OK, but haven't been able to attach the jib because of the high winds. I guess they'll either try later, or more likely on Sunday. In the meantime Hamilton is closed down.
