They can always lay over them at Waterfront, like they do every weekday between the morning and afternoon trips...

That would double the number of trips, track time and crew time since you'd have to run the trains out to the suburbs in the morning in order to pick up commuters, and then you'd have to run them back downtown in the evening. It really doesn't make any sense to do taht.

I went to the Compass office at |Stadium yesterday to trade in an old book of tickets for a compass card, that little office is really busy. While I was there a woman came from the back and asked if anybody is here for infractions she could deal with them instead of waiting in line so a guy says he was there for that so he said he thinks he has $1900 in infractions and wanted to pay $1500 for it and he had cash and she was going to look into it but how does one get such a high amount of them? crazy.

$1900 seems a lot. But each infraction ticket is $173. $60 is added to the fine if not paid within a year. So that amount might just be a result of ~8 tickets.

North Shore might terminate an underused route to make an express Phibbs Exchange to Metrotown (or maybe Gilmore) service:

Installation at Joyce-Collingwood station is also completed. I think the size of the new display sign is smaller than the one being used in Canada Line?

It’s about time. Hopefully from “here” on, people that use TCH are those that have to haul equipments, for the most part.

They seem to be the same size, if not bigger based on the Commercial-Broadway ones.

Did Lougheed get two signs per platform like Commercial-Broadway? That's a big improvement and should be the norm.

I believe four per station.
Quote:
The signs are highly visible from the platforms, as each platform direction will receive two signs (four platform signs per station). Currently, there is just one next train sign on each platform of the Expo Line and the original Millennium Line.

There are so many people on the 337 FRASER HEIGHTS shuttle that I have to stand on a shuttle bus for the first time in my life. ._.

And that's actually illegal according to the safety regulations set in place... driver should be held accountable and online form sent right away.

Speaking of service increases, the service changes effective on Easter Monday are now posted.

That's what I thought too. One Sunday in Fall 2012, when I passed by Phibbs Exchange, there were so many people wanting to get on the C15 (now 215) DEEP COVE VIA INDIAN RIVER that those who didn't make it had to take other buses. It was a time when that shuttle came every one hour after 4:47 pm on weekends.

Nice! I've been waiting for the service change notice.

EDIT: YES TRANSLINK'S FINALLY INCREASING FREQUENCY ON 301 ON SATURDAYS! THAT'S A HUGE IMPROVEMENT IMO!

When I had to stand on the C3 on a regular basis, the drivers always said that their capacity allowed for four people standing. I still always see people standing on the 103 these days.

It's not illegal to have four people standing in a community shuttle.

I rode the C23 on a regular basis for a few years. It's a very busy route, and the "enforcement" of the passenger limit was random at best.

WTF are they supposed to do when there's too many passengers due to surge demand? Pass them? Most of these routes come every 30+ minutes!

Sure, it can be Translink's policy to try not to have people standing on Community Shuttles, but having it as a law is dumb.

Yes, they turn on the "sorry bus full" sign and pass people up. That's how full buses work.

And having safety considerations enshrined in law is hardly dumb.
