As you can see there is a lot dissection against Walmart. Superstore has declined opening there. Walmart may jump at it someday as the area is growing at 13.2% and has now surpassed 10,000. People who live there have a higher disposable income. We see Shoppers opening its first store there so more may follow.
Stratford still suffers from a "bedroom village" affliction. It may some day become amalgamated. Then what!

Minna Jane Drive

Here is a proposed building on Minna Jane Dr. It doesn't appear to have
much against it as it isn't located near a residential area.
The Liquor Store is across the parking lot. lol: cheers:

^^Do you have any other details of this apartment/condo?

I can't say that I'm a big fan of the design.

I prefer the design of the building on the Stratford waterfront.

My guess is Shoppers and the 2nd Murphy's Pharmacy in Stratford will be complete at the same time. The Murphy's Pharmacy will be across the street from Shoppers.

It also notes in the city meeting minutes that there will be another 60 unit condo/apartment being constructed next to the condo on Malpeque Rd beside the dentist office (https://www.google.com/maps/@46.2771869,...PPEQFXQaBbYn5dR6PMsjA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)

So this is not the area where they are clear cutting all the trees behind the Old Sears building (https://www.google.com/maps/@46.2759641,...BOrWlOSGHAdkBgghA01HQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)

A proposal for 84,000 sqft of retail space off Lower Malpeque Road was voted down by the Planning and Heritage Dept. It was to be located here (https://www.google.com/maps/place/178+Lo...043830dcac7!8m2!3d46.273105!4d-63.163318)

I welcome everyone to talk about Charlottetown in this forum, however it should be kept to Charlottetown/Summerside and not a comparison to other places.
Lots of expansion going on in Charlottetown too. Stratford ended the year with 75 million in permits and Charlottetown was close to 150 million. Not sure on Cornwall, but I know they had some big apartments/condos and institutional stuff built last year.

Any word what is going on the Sobeys side, other than Shoppers?

Three Rivers town council recently voted in favour of rezoning a parcel of land behind Montague Superstore for this complex. 4 storey, 56 unit building by APM. Only access will be off of MacIntyre Ave unfortunately.

This building in Three Rivers is going to be identical to the building that will be constructed in Stratford.

I haven't heard anything on this.
I do know there will be 7 units total with one of them being Shoppers Drugmart.
