I can't believe how tall that crane is now! You know you're from Ottawa when this thing starts looking like a supertall. How long before we get out next "Ottawa Supertall" (>40 storeys)?

LOL! Saw it from South of Walkley on Bank Street and was stunned at how tall the crane looked from there.

Well, according to the Brigil website, it looks like 99 Parkdale (Apogee) might be getting 45 storeys! Construction has already begun on 121 Parkdale, which will be 32 storeys tall, and I assume it won't be very long before construction starts on the other tower.

Anyway, there's another thread for that... I just thought I'd answer your question.

First time trying to upload one or my own pictures so hopefully this works.

This is the view from my condo where you see downtown and Icon rising. It’s surpassing the Gatineau Hills in the bank from this viewpoint. Can’t wait to see it at its final height!

Great pictures everyone! A few different ones for some other views, including one from the bridge where the Airport Parkway changes into Bronson Avenue.

Windows have reached the over head platforms. They must be close to moving them up.

What is with all the ice on the Preston St side in that last photo?

Are they planning on painting the big concrete framing/walls on the lower floors (fronting Carling and Preston)? Or are they putting some kind of decor over top of it? The dark bare concrete seems a little ugly and dirty when contrasted with the brighter blue surrounding windows.

Great updates everyone! I was at the War Museum on the weekend for Art of War 3 Muay Thai event (awesome event and venue BTW) and it was neat to look all the way down Preston to see this beast. I think the 'skinny view' looking down Carling from the East is the most impressive so far.

Great shot! This building as been a treat to watch go up. I've been waiting and wishing all my life for some actual height to finally be built in Ottawa.

Can't wait to see what starts up this summer. These are very exciting times in construction for this city.

Take that photo and add 7 more levels to it for completion. 40th floor expected this week or early next weather dependent Hoping to get some new photos later this spring from upper floors but missed the Winterlude shots I hoped for.

This building is tall enough now, that I can see it from my house, peeking out of the horizon behind Dunton Tower!

Speaking of Dunton Tower, I wonder if Icon's roof height is higher now. As far as I know, Dunton Tower has had the highest roof elevation of any building in the city since it was built.

By far the best views of Icon have to be when driving up the Airport Parkway. It's looking really good with some of the glazing installed. No pics though since I was driving :-)

Balcony railings have started but me too... no camera when I was in the area (North & West sides). Building now over 40 stories and will continue to grow into May / June before topping out. I "think" the crane is at it's final height but the overhead protection is likely to be moved up soon or a second layer added.

I got pictures of the balcony railings yesterday. Lots of changes since we were last able to look! We saw installed windows above the platforms and on the 3rd floor overlooking Preston Street.

Great pics, thanks for sharing! Looks like they're working on the 40th floor now... 5 more to go!
