That makes no sense...
Either way, other than the restaurant there are only so many retail spaces in 300, and that number seems to be off by a year or so.
As far as 330, well, I talked to the staff in their Portage location and they said they expect to be in next year around this time, meaning that the builder has to turn the spec over to them before year's end.

I am not trying to argue with you, just applying common sense. It will be enclosed within a couple of months, then even if you give an arguably long time for base building fit up (1 year) that only takes you to 2020.

Exactly this is what I'm thinking

A new tallest apartment tower after 300 Main seems like it would be many years away, once the market absorbs all those new units, plus TNS rentals, plus the many rental conversions happening (Medical Arts, the building on smith, the fairly steady exchange district conversions).
I don't know much about the office market but from what I understand from reading on this forum a new tallest office tower seems totally unrealistic.
In the end I expect a bunch of 15-25 storey buildings which tbh is totally fine with me. Depending on their location, they can add quite a bit to the skyline. For example, I notice 390 On the River popping up in many views of downtown.

We'll have to wait and see if condos make a comeback, but for now I think Apartments are still the stronger market...

That's the burn, eh? I was told that to everyone's knowledge, it was always strong enough to accommodate a hotel as per original vision. So nobody was gonna waste a box on a hotel location.
Only in the design stages was it verified that the foundations built were far less than what was promised by the original developer, and could only hand 1 story anyway.
