What a transformation.

In other ICE District news, the Stantec Tower crane is starting to be taken down today. 104 Avenue has lanes reduced from 101 St to 105 St, but I am not sure why more than one block of 104th is affected. Do they need that much equipment to take a crane down?

They are parking the flat deck trucks there. The crane is being stepped down. Don't know why they are closing the road down at all.

I can very clearly remember parking my rental car in the big parking lot where JW Marriott and Stantec now stand and thinking, "Something needs to be built here!"

If only I had known....

It’s really shocking to think that downtown even had enough workers to support so much surface parking. There’s must have been tens of thousands of spots a few years ago.

While working in Bell tower, I spent more than a few minutes (many times) looking at that parking trying to determine what colour of vehicle had the biggest connection. More red cars vs white/silver vs black vs blue.
