By me earlier today. Sorry for the bad quality, but it's a cool view...

I really like how Edmonton's skyline is "spread out" makes it look larger than it is. Calgary's core/buildings are so "packed" together you can't really appreciate the difference in design and it looks much smaller than a city of 1.2 million.

I see what you are saying (that is a great pic of Edmonton btw, what a skyline changer of a project) but I would never say that Calgary’s skyline looks smaller than a city of its size.

Love those great Calgary shots and yes, Vancouver's Marine Building is a gorgeous piece of architecture. One of my favorite office buildings in the whole country.

Is there a city of 1.2 million with a skyline more impressive than Calgary's?

Metro Calgary is more like 1.4 million now. But the answer is the same: No, there is not a city of 1.4 million in North America with a skyline more impressive than Calgary's.

Are they finished Vancouver House? The grid design looks broken up on the triangular side with a section of plain straight lines. I don't mind it though.

The abysmal architecture of the surrounding buildings help to make Vancouver House's quality all the more apparent. It's location isn't the best either.

Those are nice Calgary shots but nothing beats those Vancouver photos. Hands down the most picturesque large city in Canada

No, it's far from being finished. The tower is at the "taking forever" stage where you don't see much visible progress on the exterior. The other adjacent buildings that are part of the complex are hardly even topped out yet.

The grid design is extending up the triangular side. It's just slow. Besides that, I'm patiently waiting for the protective film to be removed on all sides (which will make the whole thing look darker), the construction elevator to be removed from the Howe Street side and for the very top of the tower to get a more finished look to it.

Re: location, that's the tower design's raison d'être. It's on a cramped triangular site next to an on ramp to Granville Bridge. If it was anywhere else it wouldn't be the shape it is.

I'm not talking about the site - I mean the immediate area
