Agreed. I feel like the venn diagram of people who can afford a $400-450k unit in Gardens on Rose and the people who want to spend $400-450K on an apartment are two distinct circles.

I definitely see a market in more economy $200-300K units but I anticipate quite a wait before we see another high-end tower like the aforementioned.

I'll be really curious how fundraising goes. It should be a huge addition for those long winter days to be able to explore a large facility like this.

Brandt and Conexus better be huge sponsors of the building of the Floral Conservatory project. The least they could do with the amount of savings and cheap land they have received.

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is doing renovations to bring Scotty the TRex permanently to the museum. This is going to be a great draw. They also did some renovations to the spaces regarding gender neutral bathroom, carpet and paint jobs throughout the building.

I would love them to do an addition to the museum at some point.

Does the museum have structural capacity to add a floor if they wanted to expand at some point?

From their Instagram they removed a floor to make room for the height of the dinosaur. Looks like steel girder style of a building so I am sure they could.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the museum structure originally steel designed for a multi-story grand railway hotel that was never built.

The hotel was closer to the corner. The steel was actually built to the 5th floor before it was halted due to the bankruptcy of the GTP. Some of the steel was eventually salvaged and used in the Hotel Sask.

Just curious as to what this means for the T.Rex Discovery Centre in Eastend. Without Scotty there, what's the draw?

I remember that. I believe it was basically that one rich family close by that kiboshed it all because it would ruin their view. The Schumiatchers or something?

Right, I had forgotten about that. Their house was directly across College. You can't see it from the street anymore because of the trees, but the satellite shows the scale of the place. It is a unique home.
