Yet, in the 1940s and 1950s, streetcars ran until 2 a.m. every day. It just shows you how car dependent we have become. If you work outside of commuting hours, you need a car, even if you are low income.

And commuting hour service is worsening. If anything streetcars with traffic light priorities should be run down Bank, Albert, King Edward, Laurier, Wellington, Bronson, Elgin, Sussex and St Patrick,
Of course, in this car infested city density isn't enough for even half those lines ... If only condo prices in downtown are less.
