Yep......a terrible photoshop. The photo places it where the Hobby building is located between 3rd & 4th.

It's actually behind it. You can see the Hobby Building at its base.

The scale and arrangement aren't just off for that angle (that view), but so is the placement. The accurate placement should have the building positioned between 100 Congress and The Austonian. I think the reason they placed it where they did was to showcase it. If they had placed it in the true position, it wouldn't show up as well because a lot of the top of The Austonian would have hidden the view of it.

I'm using Google Earth to plot the line of sight, and the line of sight for 6 X Guadalupe from this view has it going straight through where Hanover Republic Square will be and 405 Colorado, not to mention The Austonian as I mentioned.

The placement they used would actually have the tower located either in Republic Square Park or on the block with the Laredo National Bank Plaza between 5th & 6th and San Antonio and Nueces.

To Urbannizer: Another awesome find! Thanks for posting.

To Lincoln: Build the damn thing already. We don't need more renderings!

The parking levels look different than in previous renderings. I think it looks alright there.

It also looks like the office and residential sections swapped places. Look where the balconies are on the latest renderings and older renderings.

There are a few differences in these renderings, and if you go to the page, it shows a previous one (with expansive balconies on the upper half) in the slideshow. It’s hard to say which renderings are accurate. The parking levels look closer to some of the original renderings. Again, hard to know which are dated and which are current.

Specifics aside, they're all very pretty! I'm making some phone wallpapers out of these for sure.

The east side is my favorite. It has a more cohesive look than the other 3 sides. Bonus, best viewed from I35 even if much of the bottom half won't be visible. The staircases will have to stay lit which will guarentee at least a strip of ground to top lighting. That should look impressive.

Looks like the branding changed on that site from 6 X Guadalupe, to 6 + Guadalupe... fwiw.

Either way, lets get some steel and concrete in the ground already!

If you look closely, I think the balconies have remained on the upper half. The key difference is that the glass railing looks to be unusually high. But there does seem to be a slit at the top of each level, implying those may still be balconies.

I think the office portion always had balconies, but while they used to be cut out, they now jut out from the building.

Residential has remained "cut" but the railing looks like it could be 8 ft tall. Kind of weird.

These ones show that full glass crown, where the whole thing is extensively lit. Some more recent ones had shown just a thin strip of lit glass at the top. There's also a lot more glass on these renderings, the others had greyish strips going up the building in certain areas and that's what the promo video indicated. I'm inclined to think these renderings, while flashier, are old.

It seems weirder and weirder to me that there're no plans -- even rumors of plans -- for the post office block.

It's a glaring absence, TBH. Arguably the most prime piece of undeveloped real estate downtown, and it's just being sat on. Tsk tsk.

Endeavour, I think? Someone else might be able to correct me on that one, though.
