Looks like the first of a string of buildings to line the perimeter of the parking lot.
The Coquitlam Evergreen Line improvements anticipated short retail buildings facing the areas under the guideway.

Maybe on the sections that will be redeveloped in 30-60 years but Phase 1 might look like this?

Not where the Chevron was, but where the 7/11 was ages ago. (northwest corner)

It seems to extend most of the building with the lobby entrance on the far end of the rendering?

The former Best Buy across from Coquitlam Centre has finally become a Gap Factory Outlet and an Old Navy. Not sure when it opened, but it seemed rather busy on a early Friday evening.

the Old Navy and new Gap Factory store was really busy today. Nothing special from the outside. They should have taken over where Bombay and Bowring was on Lougheed Hwy next to the big and always busy Homesense and Winners and Sketchers Factory store.

And the inside is also nothing special. They really could use some colour or something.

there is a long hallway to some washrooms

Yikes, somewhere between soul-sucking and minimum security prison.

It's a "factory" store. It isn't supposed to be nice looking. It does look very temporary looking though.

it looks weird inside. On the gap side there is a wall that doesn't go to the ceiling so you can see there is a large amount of space beyond the store. On the Old Navy side they must have used all the space so it is not an issue. Not having exterior windows is odd for a clothing store.

In other Richmond news, The gap is closing and Old Navy was going to close but a deal was reached according to someone I used to work with when she asked staff at the store.

Be Fresh Market at Broadway & Bayswater has realtor's signs in the window-I knew they'd never be able to make the rent with what they sell their whole business model is flaky & shaky.

From Changing City Updates.

This is a sizeable retail incursion into the Club District.
Could that be a Uniqlo on the 2nd and 3rd floors?
The screens are apparently terracotta.
I wonder if there are demolishing the Ardene's building to the south as well (the length of frontage suggests, yes)?
Height would, in theory, be a floor taller than the Winners / Best Buy Building (also by Bonnis) if similar ceiling heights are built.

Now Perkins + Will have been hired to design a bigger building that would see four retail units on Granville, an 18,500 sq. ft. second floor retail unit, another retail unit on the third floor of 17,200 square feet, and 18,200 square feet of office space on a fourth floor.

I am thinking it's a Nordstrom Rack. I can't see Uniqlo being that far away from other retailers in the bar/club district
