A challenge in the apartment market for families is very few options of the three bedroom variety. While bunks can be an option, for a family of four (2+2) with two mid-aged children, three bedrooms is often seen as a necessity (and that is not accounting for families who like to have a guest option in-home).
As Calgary's condo market looks to diversify offerings, I thought an interesting touchstone from London UK might be appropriate. The first point here is, London is way more dense and way more expensive than Calgary, so using an example from there for larger apartments is interesting.

Here we have a great mix of studios (starting at about 425sf), one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom offerings (most in the 1,350 to 1,600sf range). Several of the two and three bedroom units are across two floors, with other options having a large footprint on a single floor. The entire King's Cross redevelopment is actually quite interesting, but I'll leave that for yourselves to discover if you choose.
I recognize this is not a Calgary building, but beyond a touchstone of one complex extending from studio through to three bedroom, the project is also just simply cool in how it is maintaining connection with history in the interlocking gasholder triplets. The interior and use of patterned shades as a functional element that adds to external aesthetics is also interesting.
