You can walk around to the other sides of Park Central and look at the sections, but can't walk through them yet as they are still fenced up. There's also Michael's in the covered section. When all is said and done, there will be room for much more retail. I think they will fill this up faster than AZ Center with Creighton coming and the apartments in the near future.
http://parkcentralphoenix.com/retail/ there are only two new retail spots slated. But hopefully yes they can open up more areas in the future for retail.

I can't believe Michael's is still open. haha

Well...I THINK it's open, lol. There is still stuff inside and a sign up on a newly painted spot. So I'm just guessing on this one. I've never actually been there. Just walked by yesterday and noticed it

UEB Builders posted a very interesting and ominous update on Facebook earlier today, promoting job openings for a new project titled 'X Phoenix,' as well as claiming 'cranes 3 and 4 are on the way,' with cranes 1 and 2 relating to The Link and The Stewart, respectively. Any ideas on this friends?

Post copied from Facebook:
Come change the downtown Phoenix skyline with the valley's leading commercial general contractor.... UEB Builders!!!!

UEB is currently hiring Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Safety Managers for High Rise projects in Downtown Phoenix (20-30 stories, $65M-$100M!)!

I forgot to post the link to the post; there is a photo directly referring to cranes 3 and 4 and the X Phoenix.

With all this in the works, the only question is what...and when...

Yeah 'X' is a PMG brand associated with 200 W. Monroe (http://propertymg.com/portfolio/?filter=|PMGx|). And the post references Kenect. So sounds like it's those two. Exciting!

I literally just walked by there tonight, walking my dog, checking out the whole plaza and there was a sign dated for February 13th with a notice to vacate, that place has been open a long time, rent must be rising.

So by the way, who are the two new tenants at Park Central? And for a side one, does anyone have any idea how many units are in The Executive Tower as well as One Lexington?

The little boom? At this point the 2014-current building boom has been the most drastic to downtown in its history, at least its history relevant to us.

I'm blown away by what's happening in Pilsen. I had a client years ago who was investing there and I thought he was nuts, pulled most of his money out of Phoenix to do it. We're still close and he's doing very well there, very happy for him.

For those not in the know, Pilsen (Chicago) has always been a very high crime Mexican immigrant area. It wasn't a place you wanted to visit and there was no real reason to go there unless you lived there. Now, though, it's getting extremely hip and expensive.

No?

You linked a page to their developments and one of them is in Pilsen. I even linked it directly.

In other words, no one cares what's happening in Chicago. Stop being so defensive all the time...

You can ignore the post instead of attempting to censure.

If you're at all interested in city development and gentrification - much like what you're seeing along Roosevelt - you wouldn't have such a sour attitude. It's the same developer and very much the same situation.
