I live in a building that was built before 2000 and the condo fees are nowhere near $600. We also have a healthy reserve fund. We're also self-managed which I think makes a huge difference. If it wasn't for the City forcing huge water treatment, sewage, recycling, etc. increases on people I don't think our condo fees would have gone up much at all.
