Claridge confirms that we're just a couple weeks away from having a new tallest in the city!

Tallest residential according to the Tweet. So PdV C will be holding on to the title for a little while still.

Metropole is 33 floors while Icon is what, 38 now? Metropole's crown must be keeping it on top at the moment.

In couple of weeks it will reach 40 storeys out of the 45 storeys.

Well... PdV C is 112m vs Metropole at 109m... so PdV might hold on for an extra week

It certainly looks like it stands alone now, when viewed from most vantage points south of it...

I spotted an interesting view of this building today from the east end along Ogilvie Rd. I never noticed that it lines up almost perfectly with Carling Avenue across the undeveloped lands around Hurdman.

Video promoting the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat festival.

At 2:45, we have a good shot of the Icon. Pretty true to the rendering. Good job Claridge!

First-time poster, long time reader.

This forum has been awesome to stay up to date with Ottawa projects now that I am living in Toronto! Here is a shot I got this past weekend from the canal when I was home. Going to be some really good views from most of the floors.

Great pictures J.OT13 and Soi-Fon. I am looking forward to watching the races from the comfort of my view over Dow's Lake!

Sharing some photos I took on Sunday, February 10th as we drove East on Carling Avenue. You can make out the Icon from Westgate Mall! It is fun to scroll through them quickly to see the building "grow"!

While I was taking pictures in the freezing cold on Saturday, my husband ran into a drywalling supervisor in the sales centre! They have finished the 6th and 7th floors and are cleared to continue up to the 17th so far.

A question for those of you in the know....What happens at the top of a building like Icon when we get this much snow??

Isn't it the crane operator's responsibility to build a snowman up there?

A blurry, but interesting, view of Icon from Centretown.
