Northwest. The drill was in the front of the small brick building that used to be a car shop. The lot just seems to be a place to park cars now, and it’s been used as by film crews who are filming a show on Argonne.

No. This lot is directly across Ponce from the Krispy Kreme. It appears to take up the length of the block between Argonne and Penn Avenues.

Yeah this is slightly different from the first renderings we saw.

Whoah-hoh! Nice! Digging the hotel look. All the new retail with these 3 developments (and other projects in the corridor) are going to make this part of Atlanta one of if not the most active nodes in the city. Certainly one of the most diverse options in a six block stretch. Very envious. Wish projects like these occurred along the EST.

Do you mean with infill development and/or transit corridors? I agree with the general idea and have considered mocking up an Atlanta skyline w/infill throughout.

24 stories on the west side - that is gonna stand out! pretty soon we're going to have a westside skyline which started with the white provisions condo midrise

This might be the 30-story tower Tim Keane mentioned a few weeks ago.

650 bed student housing with non residential use on ground floor at 116 Luckie Street.

Finally some infill in Fairlie-Poplar! This would be awesome!

The Mix (120 Piedmont) is 650 beds and 26 stories. If this has podium parking it could easily top 30 stories.

For anyone that may have missed it, this is the comment by Tim Keane.

I was thinking that its possible that the 24-story building was the original design but they plan to actually build this building with 12 stories of hotel, not including retail and parking. Then again, $100 million seems awfully expensive for a 12-story 150-room hotel.

The other possibility is that the more recent rendering will include residential in part of the building (note the balconies) with 12 stories devoted to the hotel.
