I forget what their timeline is at the moment... but IMO depends how they roll it out- they may roll out in chunks due to the length or build out the trail then the parks. Goal is to be complete with design and shovel ready by late 2020. Then they have to solicit bids, select a contractor, then obviously the build out. If they’re aggressive, they can make it by end of 2022, especially if they don’t shoot themselves in the foot by hiring a contractors with a limited workforce. Despite not receiving the grant, the beltline should have the finances in place for the SST buildout.
Connecting the two trails should be a priority along with beginning transit construction. Both will be game changers for the city and will likely alter development patterns.
