Solaire condos

It's so ugly they had to build a fire hall into it to prevent it from either spontaneously catching fire or being lit up by a civic minded arsonist:

All part of Lacaille's hideous legacy left over to the citizens of Calgary.

Also hideous. Their pomo house condos at least blend in a bit better though. They seem to have less ridiculous colours and material choices than the more 'modern' ones do.

Lacaille Group is Calgary's worst developer. Lake Placid Group was responsible for the big blue porta potty known as the Park, but thankfully that was their only project I know of. Meanwhile Lacaille has single handedly defaced the entire SW side of our downtown. What are other city's worst / most notorious developers?

I mean Kirkor Architects is pretty bad up here in Toronto. But personally I’m gonna nominate Concord the brilliant minds behind Cityplace. A giant development that’s pretty much it’s own mini city comprised of giant glass boxes. It’s also alongside the Gardiner so everyone can “enjoy it”

Those two buildings are atrocious, simply atrocious. There is nothing redeeming about them in my eyes. The massing sucks, the colors are awful, and the aesthetics are null and void

Hamilton has a lot of ugliness.

Landmark Place the tallest building.

City Hall is just sad.

I don’t know if this is getting built or not but god forbid they do this to that church.

Chatue Royale is a giant fugly stucco jail.

I knew someone who went to Sherwood Secondary School and she said it was a complete prison of a building. Judging by the inside of the gym and the exterior itself she is probably right.

And who could forget the fact that it’s falling apart (and had to get asbestos removed at one point). Just lovely.
