Star Metals Residences is yet another project that will use steel framing. Osprey and Generation Atlanta are the others.

Not sure if this is news or not, but I noticed fencing around the Norfolk Southern/student housing site when emerging from the North Ave MARTA station last night. Looks like the mechanic shop has closed, so hopefully this is a good sign for movement on the site.

The stupid toolbags behind this project dragged their feet for 3 damn years, they could have made hay this past week. Hell, they could have made a small fortune this past year and a half had they finished it when MBS opened.

While I’m at it, Ethel should cross from Howell Mill (near Brady) to Hampton east of Northside, if not all the way back to Techwood Parkway paralleling the connector.

Watkins should extend north from edgehill Ave to 14th st.

Extend Image Ave due north to 14th st to parallel the prior mentioned extension, presuming AHS sells/redevelops.

Atlanta has a lot of opportunity for common sense street grid extensions that will provide more active street presence, create shorter distances for bike/ped, and improve vehicular flows.
