It is our city's taint. 32nd Ave and sections of 16th Ave are equally depressing but Macleod Trail covers half the city right down the middle.

Dear god that’s awful. Macleod Trail could do for some revitalization.

They've had a plan for years that seems to have gone nowhere. Slowly some of the gravel lots are being built on but too many still remain. And even then, the auto-centric nature of it will forever make it an unpleasant experience for pedestrians.

It’s called London At Heritage Station and is big bulky and confused.

Yes it is on Macleod Trail. It had one of the most obnoxious radio ad campaigns I have ever heard. They tried to market it as luxury, upscale condos. It needed the building envelope redone a year or so after completion of phase 1. There are still 2 more towers slated to be built in between those two. Yeepee! Can't wait to see how they turn out.

It actually reminds me of a slightly less run down and not as dangerous version of Las Vegas Blvd. just off the strip.

There seems to be problem after problem with these buildings huh. Two more? That’s the stuff of nightmares! We have a building similar to them called King West up in Toronto, which is equally ugly. Everyone I know hates them for their horrible rubbernecking of the street and horrible aesthetics.

King West isn't nearly as bad. It has public art and isn't a stucco box. To add insult to injury London condos even has a mini clocktower.

I know I already posted these before but if you wanna talk Frankenstein’s monster apartment buildings this one in Laval takes the cake (although the one from home is horrible).

The Embassy Suites in Niagara looks awful (the two ugly Marriotts are a bonus).

Hey did you know there’s a Keg in here? They really do not make that clear.

Also there’s a TGI Friday’s in there which is thankfully one of the only ones in Canada. Seriously it’s one of my least favourite American chains outside of Applebee’s.

Hey, I've stayed there and eaten there. That restaurant has an amazing view as you can imagine.
