Looks like part of the wavey sidewalk was painted and the paint has flaked off?



National Bank has moved in and apparently some computer screens face the windows
- so workers in the building across the street can see what's on them.

It's not the paint, it's a non slip coating. The initial installation had a lot of slip and falls and the coating was added after. Clearly they need to look for another solution.

Some of the architects and designers around town are useless at designing for use vs looks.

The amount of smooth finish tile I have seen used in Lobbies and even building exteriors around town is absurd.

A 5th grader knows its wet and often - the material needs to be non slip because any top coated solution will look like above in short time.

So true and it still goes on. Guilford mall added colored glass tile in front of the lobbies. I think they have all failed and are now filled with poorly done concrete.

It's a 106 bed hotel being developed by the same group who are running the new EXchange Hotel next door.
