I believe it was reported that 60 percent of ASU graduates and about 19 percent of UA graduates stay in metro Phoenix upon graduation. I'd say that's a pretty good percentage.

Much better than New Mexico, they provide free college to high school graduates who then get a degree and move away because there aren't any jobs.

New Mexico's Lottery Scholarships only pay part of the degree cost anymore, but yeah. The Land of Entrapment no longer.

Took a Drive around downtown the other day,

Polk street infront of Kinnect is closed for the time being,

Native American Connections project is on floor 3, its looking pretty big in that location.

McKinley Court Metrowest project is moving dirt, do we have a rendering? isnt it supposed to be like 12 floors?

The Toll brothers APT building at Thomas and Central Appears to be moving dirt

The Abbey appears to be accelerating its pace of work, a lot of activity going on even on a Sunday.

The Half-painted Hilton looks...terrible, what is going on?

AC Hotel

Lots of site plan reviews filed for AC Hotel ranging from sewer to water lines. Also, Arizona Center has updated their coming soon page stating AC Hotel breaking ground in early 2019. Seems like we should see this moving soon. Hopefully a new rendering will come out and Phoenix gives them the OK this go around.

Also, it appears a new restaurant is coming to AZ Center called Freshii (https://www.freshii.com/us/en-us/home). Looks like Tempe has one of these, but I am not familiar with them. There online menu looks to be healthy fare.

McKinley Tramwell? Are you referring to the Fillmore or is this something different? If it's the Fillmore, I think the tallest is 10 floors. I haven't seen any new renderings since they've announced it a couple of years ago.

Completely agree with Hyatt. It looks terrible. I sure hope they are not just painting the center section and leaving the rest as is. I would rather it be the way it was if so. Very strange there were no announcements about it getting painted, renovations or anything.

The only project I can think of that's currently moving dirt on McKinley is McKinley Court. I'm not sure if it's Tramwell also but for sure it's MetroWest Development. Rendering is up at the Rundown thread

Obadno was referring to McKinney Court which is 5 floors.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to post the rendering for you Obadno. Here's the link to the project, http://ccbg-arch.com/project/92

LOL. R-Cubed (R^3) project (Habitat Metro) is the one that's replacing the retail on 3rd Ave and Roosevelt.

Here's a rendering for that:

Those are some pretty big projects for that neighborhood when does this actually get started?

No indication it's imminent. All the tenants are gone... have been for some time now.

Demo permit was pulled months ago and building permit was issued couple of weeks ago (in Dec i think). So I'm hoping any day now...that corner is such an eyesore and attracts all kinds of riff raff at night
