Something frustrating with imgur lately has been them removing the function to do advanced edits for users. Not sure why they did that, but that means you can resize nor change brightness on photos. Must be going broke. I'm just using them as photo storage now and editing on my own now.

Any advice on how to get around that? Just save as a smaller filesize?

Update on River City:

After a long struggle, the deal to sell the River City condominium complex at 800 South Wells St. finally closed just before the first of the year. The River City Condo Association agreed to a bulk sale of all 449 residential units for $90.4M, making it the largest condominium deconversion in Chicago history. A newly formed joint venture among The Wolcott Group, Marc Realty, Ruttenberg Gordon Investments and funds managed by Elliott Management Corp. was the buyer, which plans to transform the building with a full redesign and renovation of the lobby, common areas, residential units and the retail components of the property. Renovations will begin soon, and the new River City Apartments will begin welcoming new residents in March.

And just like clockwork Revcon is deployed at 1375.

There are too many U/C projects in these pictures to list but here are some of the notable ones.

I've been able to follow the construction of Gr333n and it's incredible how efficient the iron workers are as well as how much strategy goes into the method of constructing each level. Neat stuff...

^Wow, awesome vantage point and photos! I'm jealous! Looks like Gr333n will top out in early February. The west loop is crazy compared to 10 (hell even 5) years ago...

Yep, and there is a ton more height variation going on. Makes it interesting to look at from many different angles as different towers poke up from all different areas. 5 more years for this cycle please!

^ A stone's throw.

On another note, I walked past Lincoln Commons yesterday and man oh man did they do the towers right. Never noticed it in the renderings but they appear to have very detailed white terra cotta panels on the E and W sides, which interact wonderfully with the two historic buildings adjacent to the site.

Yeah, Lincoln Commons is turning out very good, I hope they sign some good retailers.

God knows that area of town is getting sleepy and stuffy

I believe the only announced tenant so far is Equinox. They've taken the largest space in the development.

There are ornamental panels, I’m not sure if they are really terra cotta or just white precast or GFRC. The result is nice but seems like a little bit of a missed opportunity IMO.

It looks like real terra cotta to me. I’ve gone past a couple times.
