^^^ Rosa's staff have repeatedly made anti-semetic and racist comments on social media and in public meetings. His Chief of Staff literally complained about "white people moving in" at the public meeting about his moronic Milwaukee Ave downzoning.
That's a particularly interesting phenomenon because I believe it actually opens him up to being sued under Federal Fair Housing laws if he ever actually gets anything passed (since, despite all the airplay he gets on Block Club and Ben Jarvorsky's program, he's done literally nothing since being elected). Just as Trump's "Muslim Ban" was struck down because his comments cannot be separated from the intent of the law. I.E. if he says "I'm going to pass a law to ban Muslims" and then later passes a law that looks an awful lot like a law to ban Muslims, then he can't claim "this is just to keep out potential terrorists from these counties, see we even included North Korea". The same I believe applies for Rosa who can't go around saying "we need laws to keep the white people out" and then pass a law that looks a lot like "law to keep out white people" and claim "Well it's only a zoning change" or whatever.
I find it particularly interesting because, as a licensed Broker, I am explicitly forbidden from even mentioning a protected class even in a private situation. I can expose myself to fines or loss of license if I even so much as mention race or religion or familial status. One wonders how an alderman like Rosa who race baits constantly and sets housing policy in his ward hasn't been sued for violating those same state and federal laws?
