Looking forward to seeing what the finishes are. Nice materials coupled with those large windows could make for a really nice place.

Conversely I don’t find the gray stucco house all that exciting. If you’re going to tear down a house and build a new one, use a bit more imagination.

As a general comment, I also don't love the current fashion of flat roofs though it can be done very well if there are significant contrast elements in the design and/or materials / finish.

Large house requires a lot of heating ducts. Thanks Daemon for getting out and getting us some pics.

That small house on the far right hand side can go any time.

Here is a link to the definition of 'contextual' in case you're thinking it means something else.
https://www.yourdictionary.com/contextual

And for just for context (no pun intended), here are the neighbors.

Maybe someone should create a separate thread for major construction updates so they don’t clutter up the single family home thread.

Suburgatory's attempt at sarcasm inadvertently raises an intelligent suggestion. Perhaps indeed there should be a separate thread for interesting SFH construction in Calgary, where all the Infill, Mansion, Hon Hotel photos can be directed? Perhaps lane houses could go there also, as I'm sure over the next years there will be some interesting examples of those coming up.

Happy new year everyone!

Not sure what the fuss is about this place. Looks like an average house to me.
