as generic as they are at least the Onni towers are providing some bulk to the NW skyline quadrant that OCS will really boost

Anyone know anything about 625 w adams? Haven't seen anyone in there since its completion, I read Ferrera the candy company was supposed to lease 60k ft (400k+ tower), not my favorite tower, dislike the plaid window side, but looks nice lit up and fills a good spot in the west loop. also the tokyo inn was it? near union, walked by, site seems empty.

I believe 625 W Adams is mostly leased by CDW. Ferrara decided to go with OPO for their HQ instead.

Can we get an update on the Bush Temple Tower when someone has the chance? Wondering when that one will be complete.

Cross-post, from the General Developments page. Thanks for sharing this. If they build it tall enough, it will have park views. Here's hoping..

Here’s the link for listing. “190-unit luxury apartment building.”

^ given the 190 units, and the size of the building footprint, i'm guessing this ends up in the 30 story range.

I think I had previously shared some renderings, but here's the full building (not great IMO):

One of the problems with that site is giving access to whatever parking they come up with. That alley is very narrow - I've heard too narrow to enable vehicles to make a turn in and out of a garage entrance. There is no access onto Polk without mowing down the restaurant building on the corner, so a parking solution like at Burnham Pointe across the steet there the parking access is off of Polk isn't an option. There are two existing curb cuts onto Clark for the surface lot. I'm not an expert on parking access regulations but I'd think that an additional access point onto Clark st. could be controversial? There are certainly a number already - one for the unfortunate 5/3 bank parking lot, a very odd one for a tiny time of parking for Digitital Realty, the two for the surface lot - and then across the street one for the parking garage and another for a small building that has been many things including a tire shop that has been vacant for several years. That's a lot of cuts already.

Interestingly, I recently ran across a vintage photo of the ArtCraft building that showed a Sinclair gas station where that surface lot now is. There could certainly be some remediation of the soil required.
Information I'm finding is scarce, but in an issue not yet online, the Dearborn Express is reporting on a community meeting where the Palmer Printing lot building was presented. CMK Development, 30 stories, 13-14 month completion, 369 units "75% of which will be student or convertible apartments". 317 feet tall. The article also says that the printing building will be converted to offices. It had earlier been described as being converted to parking for the aprtments. There is no mention of parking in the article.

There's nothing on the CMK website yet.

That Randolph and Wabash tower is not the prettiest thing in the world... I guess it's far better than the disgusting brick parking garage that is there as of today lol

I like it. It respects the streetwall. No disjointed podium. Re-enforces the street grid. Residences not too far off the street. Open lobby. Decent urban building!

I don't know the name (EDIT: 50 E. Randolph), but it's oriented on the northeast corner of Wabash and Randolph. Assuming it covers/replaces both the corner parking garage and the surface lot mid-block, there have been various proposals there over the years and I haven't heard anything fresh recently but maybe they'll finally make a run at it. It would do a lot to finally make that corner of the Loop feel cohesive again since it partially replaces a surface lot.

After that, the lots surrounding Wabash/VanBuren; lots between 311 S Wacker and that cooling plant just south of it; the block-long 100 N Franklin site: a coupla lots between Congress and VanBuren; and the parking lot at about 170 W Randolph seem to be the only vacant or surface parking lots left in the River, Congress, Michigan Ave definition of the Loop. Might see a completely built-out Loop in my lifetime, even if there will be a few under-utilized buildings, at least they would be utilized.

Anyone want to make a pool and sell squares for what year that'll happen?
