From what I know, detailed designs have been done for as far west as Denlou. Between Espanola/McKerrow, it’s preliminary design. Then there’s nothing whatsoever from there to turnoff to Joseph Island.
Going east, there are detailed designs from 17/RR 55 (Lively) to Markstay, from North Bay (Duchesne Falls) to Nipissing/Renfrew boundary. In other words, there’s nothing from Markstay to Duschesne Falls.
I don’t know if any detailed design has been done for 17 from Renfrew to Petawawa.

Dodging the rocks is hard yo.

I thought a 135-degree angle would be fine.
Edit: I just realized that’s not 135 at all. But but but, Highway 17 (4-lane divided) also has one at Bar River and it seems to work fine.
As for Highway 108, I wasn’t too sure what to do with that climbing lane so I drew something weird like that. (I was surprised that a minor highway like 108 gets those lanes too.)
For Hagar, I thought those 2 curves are gentle enough.
For Sturgeon Falls, it could definitely be straighter, but I drew it like that to avoid messing with the wetland in(?) the river.
I actually included the route through North Bay before, but erased it because I wasn’t sure how the freeway would traverse Nipissing 10. Now that I got that figured out, I could put it back in. I haven’t got the time to draw 417 from there to Arnprior yet. I only got to erase my earlier drawing of Cobden Bypass because I got it all wrong.
Ps: I actually did something for NWO when I was trying to figure out how to slip in a freeway around, and a second crossing at, Nipigon without wrecking havoc on its business area.
