I feel like instead of two short buildings it would have been better to build one taller building that was actually visible from different points of the city. Most people I talk to are not even aware this building has gone up. Only people that work downtown close to this area or take the bus on Graham are aware of it.

Given the area, I think it's appropriate as it is. I don't think making it any taller than they are now would make a difference, and overall, would not make sense for the intentions on what True North wanted.
I'd rather have a cluster of four mid-rise buildings around the area, than a gigantic and tall building. Manitoba Hydro Tower covers that part already with its massive floor plates, and 300 Main covers the tallest building aspect when it's completed.
You're entitled to your opinion, but calling it disappointing is a bit of a stretch.
You know what's disappointing? The Fortress development, or lack there-of. That's a whole other thread to discuss, but even then, that's a dead project now, and not worth mentioning anymore.
