Well spotted....I know the City Planner, planning consultant and land owner. I'm sure they will have an interesting insight into it all. Sounds like a disgruntled neighbour who knew how to work the system.

Trying to pull the lobbying activities of the owner of the consulting firm attending on behalf of the owner but not the actual expert witness is pretty low. Any lobbying is done to City Councillors not members of the Committee of Adjustment who I have found are not-approachable for that kind of thing.

The fact that Salmasian didn't know if it is legal to convert a triplex to a fourplex says it all.

Update on 151 Slater St. the Burnside Building. Passed by yesterday. Concrete structure is all that's left other than a few pre-cast panels that haven't yet been removed. Podium seems to be intact.

Somewhat saddened to see it re-vamped, but it should bring some variety to the area. Just hope the Varette never gets gutted.

Without much information available, a new tower is coming to Centretown! HLMRK Luxury Residences, by M Developments is set to launch this December.

At Joel Harden's town hall on "responsible development" last month, Denis Rancourt advocated passionately for an increasingly litigious anti-development strategy. He later declared: "triplexes don't belong in Old Ottawa East".

Are they going to market this like a Hallmark movie? Attractive successful career woman moves in, a single mother; falls in love with the studly concierge who shows her the meaning of life beyond material things. There is conflict in status. There is a dog involved. One of them runs away; the other chases after. They resolve things and live together. She gets a break on the condo fees.

I think you're right... at the top of his own webpage it says "Matt Richling is a licensed Salesperson with RE/MAX Hallmark Realty Group" (emphasis mine). A little coincidental?
