It's been below freezing all day. Haven't seen any concrete trucks or work, but brick laying continues

They most likely stopped laying brick when the snow hit at around 2 to 3 PM today.

That will just about do it from my office window vantage point. Brick work in the middle of Dundas pushed east to the Fanshawe campus.

I'll continue to take pics until all the equipment is gone for the season, however. Then I will make a timelapse.

Tarps over the centre of Dundas east of Talbot to help with something? Curing? Coating? Salt?

Looks great but when are they suppose to be finished? The city can put out all the great advertising of how downtown is still open for business but the reality is that people will avoid the area if it gets much closer to Christmas. The merchants are going to raise Kane if it starts eating into their busy Christmas shopping season.

Who knows? At the rate they seem to be going, they won't be done until late January. Or possibly later. Much later.

Don't get me started on the York Street sewer repairs, which have done a fantastic job of snarling up traffic along King Street during rush hour. And those repairs were supposed to be done by the end of August. Here it is, it's late November and they're still ripping up pavement.

London has to be the worst for coordination of public works projects. It's either done all at once and makes life really inconvenient or it's done in penny packets here and there and never seems to get done. It's like city engineers go out of their way to make life miserable for people.

Somebody screwed up badly estimating this project. Likely made worst by unexpected surprises. Also the wasted days in the summer where little if any work was done. A hint of rain in the morning and the rest of the day off.

One of the city officials was on the radio today and said this piece of Dundas would be open by Dec 21 at the latest but they are hopeful of 7-10 days earlier. And York within the same timeframe.

Poles on the curbs are being tested. Will be raised/lowered for parallel parking when permitted?
