There was an article yesterday about federal funding for affordable housing as part of the Park City commons thing on Plessis. It was noted the plan is to expand that across the Province and Country going forward. In conjunction with whatever the Province does, seems like there is cash for affordable housing coming down the pipe. Good news.

Where can I get a good steak? None of the places that were mentioned, including Chop Steakhouse. I usually don't get steak when I'm out for dinner. Only cook some ribeyes and such at home.

Oh goodness, no. They make BIG money on game days, a few logistical challenges are nothing.

Well, a majority of the good restaurants throughout tow that aren't specifically steakhouses do a damn good job, but if you truly want options, 529, Carne, etc... there are gooood choices. Ain't cheap, but you're getting good meat.

With Moxies at MTS. How do they control patrons? Do they close access to the outside? If they're scanning people in and out that defeats the no re-entry policy. That was where I don't understand, because I haven't been there.

On the steaks, it was more of a rhetorical question. But ya, there's good places for steak. However I don't frequent 529 haha. My sister was there a month ago and Kyle Connor was on a date. Some other big wig she mentioned. I don't fit into that class!

They scan tickets entering and exiting the restaurant from the arena. Not pain-free, but moves quickly enough.

Are you able to exit Moxies onto the street? If so, that's a good way to get around the no re-entry policy. Which I may have to take advantage of!

I don't know if they bother with the scan out since the rule change. ie you leave the ticket area and go to Moxies there is no rentry to the ticketed area.

I believe it was sorta hush hush stuff that would be only elaborated on once announced but if someone is able to cough up a couple details that would be amazing.

Like is it big? Medium? Tall? Prominent? Game changing? Skyline altering? Average infill or block swallowing?

Honestly the best would be if there were multiple little projects being cooked up that would start filling some gaps in the street fronts and also brought new residents. A few floors of residential and a floor or two of retail or office or commercial space of some sort.

I thought they locked Moxie's outside door during games so you're allowed to go back and forth from the concourse to Moxie's.

I believe they were big projects... from what little Biff let on. Hard to say what big is for Winnipeg downtown though. Anything 20+ floors taking up parking lots would be considered big to me.

There have been many teasers over the last couple months. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm not up to speed on the building development world. But typically for engineering or construction summer is information gathering season, winter is design season. Pricing comes in with design. So we'll see what happens.

Seems so disjointed again – like why did they just put 4 blocks of one-way bike lanes on Princess if they had no idea or plan on what would happen north of William? This map still doesn't solve the lack of a NB bike lane on King (or anywhere really). Puzzling.

Along with the fact all of the NROR signs from Main. So now McDermot at Main has a dedicated right turn light that is often red while all others (including bike) are green, but you're allowed to turn right on a red there, so it kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a right turn signal at all.

They have not scanned tickets on the way out since the no re-entry policy started. There's nothing complex about it, just acts as another gate – you scan on the way in to the arena, and if you leave (even into Moxies) you can't go back into the arena.

Either way, all the scaffolding was removed today and looks like absolutely nothing changed. Must have done some maintenance work to the bricks or windows maybe. Oh well.
