So much character-less, monotonous green glass. Looks oppressive.

You'll fnd plenty of character in the Vancouver skyline if you're willing to look for it.

Pretty much agree, although the first photo looks good with the mountains in the background and the more distinct office towers visible. Vancouver House stands out, but not as much as I would like. Even a few darker coloured towers (black or whatever) in the foreground would make a difference. Now office towers are being clad in condo green glass.

I wish more has been done to break up the monotony, but it's too late now. It looks cool driving over the bridge though.

Toronto remains the king, but Vancouver’s combination of glass and mountains make it close.

Montreal is just blah.

I love the look of Toronto's residential leading to main street vibe. It's no Montreal, but I dunno, I kinda like it more? Maybe because I live in one of those semi-detached with a 3 ft gap between the next house but it just feels right.

Old Toronto is "single family homes" usually attached to one at least one side but actually made up of several apartments. And they have been multiple apartments since the early 1900s despite the idea they used to be single family. The space between the houses is less than a few feet (ours is big enough for the garbage bin but it scrapes the sides).

And South of Bloor more often than not rowhouses with 4-6 units seem to predominate in the oldest neighbourhoods.

I love old streets such as these:
