Here's what we have since the first "credible" sources started talking to the media.

CNBC: Crystal City - Austin
WSJ: Crystal City - NYC, Dallas, Unnamed other finalists
NYT: Crystal City - NYC

So Crystal City seems obvious, but NYC looks strong.

Nice! I kinda wish it was LIC and Newark or LIC and Philly. It would have been nice for the east coast.

New Jersey offered Amazon $5 billion in incentives, plus an additional $2 billion from Newark — the second-largest publicly available offer the company received, according to CityLab. The LIC railyards are already going through the rezoning process, to build towers atop a huge deck (basically like Hudson Yards), but, yes there will be NIMBYs. There is nothing of substance built in NYC that doesn't eventually involve NIMBYs.

Gov. Cuomo joked this week that the Newtown Creek (the narrow waterway separating Brooklyn and Queens) would be renamed the Amazon River. Or at least I think he was joking.

Meh, I'm not aware of amy meltdowns by Atlanta members since the latest updates. I'm just happy that the right-a-way for commuter rail and MMPT in The Gulch will be preserved.

Plus, another Fortune 500 company (Norfolk Southern) is all but locked to relocate to Atlanta, regardless of the HQ2 outcome.

So looks like HQ2 will be in both NYC and Arlington! Was one of the very few people here who said NYC would be it and people thought I was nuts. Happy I was right.

I wonder if they’ll ever completely abandon Seattle? Jeff seems over it.

CC to central DC (Scott Circle) driving is 11 minutes without traffic.

CC to Foggy Bottom station in DC is 12 minutes.

Same trip as above, but biking, 30 minutes.

Hell, same trip, walking...1 hour 35 minutes.

Why are we acting like CC is out in the country all by its lonesome self? Lets be real, this location, urban-wise, is better than pretty much any other contender besides Chicago, Philly, and the NY metro area.

If you’re right, Amazon redeemed themselves. Would have wanted a mid-size city similar to Seattle, but it is what it is. NYC ( via Brooklyn, Queens, and even Manhattan) has the ability to provide the jobs this HQ2 may need.

But still, this thread is fricking hilarious.

I have to observe that loser thread soon too.
