Also there is something afoot on this piece of property inside of Parkplace Ln, Generation Ave, Solaire Pass and Leopold F. Belliveau Dr. They have peg markers on the property now for something to be built. Service NB shows it as being recently sold.

The old KIA is being torn down at the bottom of Elmwood. I remember back when that was a VideoTech and (maybe?) the original Igloo.

so this was decker boy, then changed to VideoTech in one part, and the original Igloo in the other, or was it one after the other first decker boy then igloo, and last VideoTech before becoming Kia?

So, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what's going on up Elmwood Drive.
Yesterday they tore down the perfectly good house on the northeast corner of Price St. and Elmwood.
Today they tore down the perfectly good house on the southeast corner of Price and Elmwood.
I asked around a bit and was told two more houses on the east side of Elmwood, immediately next door and south of this week's demolition site. will be torn down as well.
I was told by someone watching the homes being torn down, who might or might not know what they are talking about, that all four homes were bought by a numbered company.
If they are adding a lane to Elmwood to accommodate a better entry on to Price Street where the industrial park is expanding, then why did a numbered company and not the city buy the properties?
If it's to build something new there, then why did they buy three homes south of Price Street and another north of Price Street, meaning one of the properties is non contiguous with the other three and cannot be combined? Well, one of them can't.
I'm very curious.
I find no clues in any of the minutes of town planning meetings for 2018.

Last I heard there where 2 buildings to be built The lot north is Narrow but deep, and the lots south of Price is not deep but the 3 lots will be wide

Seems to me though you'd need a rezoning to go from a single detached residential building to a multi-unit. Maybe they will apply at the next meeting or something. Shouldn't be hard to get those 3 locations rezoned for apts. Not so sure about the one property north of Price though. Big trucks already can't make the turn.

Good catch!

They are working hard at the east end of Price Street for, I assume, a new industrial development. Lots of tractor trailer dump trucks coming and going every day.
Plus there is that old house across from the Dairy Queen that sold and was torn down earlier this year.
Lots brewing in this part of \Sunny Acres these days.

Last time that I took a look here these areas weren't green on the SNB site. Now they are, so I wonder if these lands were sold too someone else by the First Nations and they changed their minds about this development? Or if this is just a late update? Because when my neighbour sold his house it was updated almost almost immediately. Also on the other side of the CN Mainline (south), there seems to be some property sold there with it.
