advantage to assinboin is the ability to be close but not close enough to be right in it all and have that jungle feel vs cement everywhere

Some optimism for the end of the day. Winnipeg’s skyline when the residential tower, the city’s new tallest building, is finished construction.

Yeah no kidding. Perhaps across the street on Main, and then on the skycity and the lot between it and 300 on Graham.

One for 416 Main too please, 50 floors perhaps?

Perhaps the west part of downtown or somewhere in the shed is ready for a couple 30+ storey developments or 40 ish? Who knows.

Asked Earls executives today if they were still considering moving into 300 Main:

"Yes - it's a possibility. Have not come close to a decision yet though."

The new tower should be taller actually, being in the foreground and having 10 floors on 360

As for Earl's... well usually that's the kind of thing people say. Hopefully!

Did you know that it is still 30 months from completion? The NHL strike/lockout will just be ending by then.

^Haha. Hopefully the goings on of what goes into 330, changes to Winnipeg Square, and the Scotiabank/Kidthink portion (yes I know it’s technically a different project) keep us folk who aren’t as interested in actual construction amused.

Looks like the kinks have been worked out with the elevator core alignment. Forms are stripped and concrete is in place for the first 1 or 2 floors (not sure of floor height).

Ehh, sounds hyper conservative. Shouldn't take more than 18 months, veeeeery conservatively to finish the core, structure, and enclosure.

Haha, please let that be so... it would be a huge boost to the complex.
