By not buying.. it's really the only way. Forget the design, if Falcons have baseboard heating and no gym/amenity floor like the Fox, not worth the purchase.

Maybe it's already been discussed and discounted, I don't know. But it would surely be a way to keep the ballpark around (concert venue for exhibition) and maybe tie redevelopment of the old power plant into an exhibition hall? I'm trying to think of some ideas that would create a venue for significant events. Something to really kick the zone off.

Just spitballing? Blue sky thinking?
Much work in the background going on including a business and community advisory committee. There was an open house last week.

Does anyone know what is going on at 108 St south of Jasper Ave? There has been quite a bit of excavation lately just west of AHS main office.

Part of it is repair on 108 Street from a water main break, the other part is excavation in the parking lot to build a new condo (about 5-6 floors) that will be attached to an adjacent office building undergoing a conversion.

Was the watermain that is being replaced upgraded when they did the streetscape? I don't think it was.

What condo is this? The Strategic proposal just down the street to the south?

Stantecs next big move is this weekend. Monday morning will see another 4-500 people working in the heart.

Last move will be in November.

^^ Wow that is brutal.

I love how they somehow managed to make the screening look worse than the mechancial penthouse would if it didn’t have it

Procura seems to go through several iterations of garbage before landing on a fairly respectable design.

Kind-of looks like they're going in the opposite direction

http://procura.ca/property/times-square/

Procura's best work was the Intact building. Everything else has been downhill from there

Good point, it's like they took the same design and tried to make everything slightly worse.

Manasc gone wild.
That's 2 in a row for Procura that are grade F.

Good that your addition has gone well.
Today was the first day with the ECU and monitoring software online. The house’s baseline consumption is about 1 kWh. Between the time I left the house at 7am and got home at 6pm I drew 2 kWh from the grid, presumably because the sun is coming up later. Normally I’d expect to burn about 12 kWh during that time, so the system generated about 20 kWh today as it pushed 10 kWh back to the grid. So in late October on a relatively sunny day I figure I can generate about 75% of the power I use over a 24 hour period, accounting for increased use when we’re home. I cannot wait for summer

Stupid Question....how does your billing work? Do you get paid for supplying energy to the grid even though it would normally occur during times where it is not needed? I would assume the entire distribution system would collapse if it was full of people supplying power during the day and drawing it at night?
